The Seams Series

If you’re a beginning sewist (or even if you’ve been doing it for a while!) you may find my most recent series helpful; over at my youtube channel, I’m publishing a very short series of videos featuring three types of seams for woven (non-stretch) fabrics. Video number three will be posted sometime in the next couple of days, but you can view the first two right now!

You don’t need a serger to create durable seams. The first video shows a more utilitarian seam, created with a simple straight stitch and pinking shears…

The second video demonstrates the French seam, which is also easy to create, and an elegant solution, especially for sheer fabrics.
